Characters

Who is the main character in your novel? What is he/she like? Brave, intelligent, cowardly, loyal, ethical? How do you know? Does your character make good decisions? Would you be friends or hang out with your character? Why or why not? Remember to give examples from your book or real life.

The main character in my novel is Steve.
Steve likes to be with his family. He is a brave man I know this because he stood up in fought a guy 6 times his size, and he was brave on his first day of collage when he was almost shot. Steve makes his own good decision at the age of 21 to get a job to help his mom out with paying the bills. Steve’s mom moved away and his life had changed. After that his mom moved back and she had a boyfriend who beat Steve every day for nothing just for the hell of it. He had to live with it for 6 years but after turning 17 he said to him self that he was done. He went to the house and shot her moms boyfriend Darrell. When his mom not finding out for a few days he new that she’d find out sooner or later so he made up his own story. His mom didn’t believe him so then she had to just go back to his life and then I didn’t read the rest. By Brent

The main character in my book is Harry Potter. He is the guy that everyone is looking for. There is a bounty on his head for him “Supposedly” killing Dumbledore. He is very brave and intelligent in how he is hiding away from the wizard police. He makes very good decisions and I think my friends would hang out with him. He is a cool person and even funny.

The main character in my novel name is will. He seems smart, because my story starts off in school, in woodshop, he has the nicest piece of wood in the class, so I guess that’s were I got his smartness, maybe he’s just good with wood. My character seems like the type of kid that wouldn’t try at all to get into trouble …. A good kid. I probably wouldn’t hangout with this kid if he lived by me, doesn’t seem like we would have much in common.

The main character of my book “Enemy at the Gates” is a Russian sniper named Vassili Zaitsev. He is a peasant but upon acquiring a rifle he kills five German officers impressing a political officer. Zaitsev of course is very brave, being the best Russian sniper in Stalingrad during the battle. Yes, he makes good decisions. No I wouldn’t be friends with him.

The main character in my novel is Royce. He is brave, not scared of anything (but his dad). He is a bully that’s how I know. My character does NOT make good decisions. I would not be friends with my character. He is always getting into trouble. He is so much like many people I know. They think that they are all that when they are not. They are not even close. God is all that not them. I just hope that people like that will realize their wrong doings and change to better people. They should seek help. Bad!!! That is my Character. Ivan

The main character in my novel is Ben. Ben likes to be with his family. He is a brave boy. I know this because he stood up in fought a guy twice his size, and he was brave on his first day of school. Ben makes very good decisions, he made his own decision at the age of fifteen to get a job to help out his mom with bills. Ben’s aunt moved away. After she left their whole life changed. Ben’s mom had a new boyfriend that beats on him and his mom, till one day Ben stood up to save his life and his moms life, Ben got hit by his mom’s boyfriend(Larry), Ben then hit him back really hard and he fell to floor. After that day Ben and his mom were never scared, because Larry went to jail…

The main character in the book Search for Safety is Dylan. I think Dylan is very brave. He is very brave because he tries to stand up to Larry and tries not to take any of his bull junk. I would hang out with Dylan because he’s a person who has been through a lot of stuff and so have I so I would want to hang out with him and gage into conversation. Reading how Dylan was being bet on by an adult makes me think of all the time there was a family on the news for betting a child so Dylan’s life now is so much similar to life to day.

I enjoyed reading your comments on characters from your readings. The postings that show how you as the reader react personally to the characters are especially interesting.
